The Rose Is in Her Hand, The Flavor Is Mine
“Hi Mulan, thank you for taking the time to be with my mom today. She felt better when you’re there.”
The phone flashed, and a message jumped out. It’s from Melissa, my neighbor.
Melissa and her husband have two children who start in September at a school on the other side of the city, so they live in accommodation near the school during the week and only come back at weekends.
Therefore, Melissa’s mother often lives alone in their old house. Every time I happen to see her, she greets me and stops me for a chat. I told her to knock on my door if she needed help.
Last night, I was getting ready to do yoga when Melissa called and asked me to come over to see her mom at her house. It seemed that something odd was happening. 😒
It turned out that Melissa’s mother kept calling her, complaining about the noise at home, and she was scared and at a loss.
I quickly got dressed and went out to Melissa’s house. Her mother opened the door as soon as she saw me (through the glass door).
“Come and see, what’s that ringing?”
